How to Refill the HP 45 Black Ink Cartridge. Part of the series: HP Printer Cartridges. The HP 45 ink cartridge can be refilled by inflating the center bladder and pushing in 10 milliliters of ink with a syringe. Pressurize the ink bladder of the HP 45 cartridge before replacing it with help from an employee of an ink-filling station in this free video on HP printer cartridges.
Carl P. Forbes : Ok, you lost me. In the first step you refer to inflating the bladder and injected ink without a needle and next you inject ink with a needle. That needs some clarification.
wadi B3eed : How many times be can used carriage for refilling ?
Barry Miller : The weak point in this otherwise excellent demo is where to get a BB to fill up the hole after the ink goes in.
Sarah Ashli Parrish : Yes, I assume you buy BBs, but are they .22 or .177? Agree, excellent instructional besides the info on the BB. @Barry BBs can be purchased at Wal-Mart.
S. Nour : You can remove the original BB in the cartridge by using board pin then add it back after filling. Then cover it with piece of tape to avoid leakage.

In this video I walk through the physical design, functionality and history of the HP 45 scientific calculator. This was the second scientific calculator released by Hewlett Packard following the HP 35. I talk about the design of the keyboard, the calculator's case and walk through its basic functions. For many users of this calculator at the time it would have been replacing a slide rule for day to day calculations, and I quote some introductory text from the user's manual that gives some idea of how revolutionary it was in 1973.

jmfa57 : I still use (and cherish) the HP-45 I bought in the 1970s. It was mostly what I needed to get my engineering degree. These days, as I approach retirement, I seldom use it for other than arithmetic, but the metric conversion keys still come in very handy, Thanks for an excellent video!
