우리가 쓰는 전기는 220V지만, 미국이나 일본에선 110V를 씁니다. ‘그냥 표준이 다른 건가?’ 생각할 수 있지만, 사실 220V가 110V에 비해서 가지고 있는 장점이 훨씬 많아서 세계적으로는 220V 이상을 쓰는 게 표준처럼 자리잡고 있다고 해요. 110V와 220V 사이엔 어떤 차이가 있는 걸까요? 220V가 더 좋은 거라면, 미국이나 일본처럼 잘 사는 국가들은 왜 110V를 쓰는 걸까요? 크랩에서 자세한 내용을 알아봤습니다.

cxyxjxgx : 저 시절에 바꾼게 신의 한수임 ㄹㅇ 2000년대 들어서 시작했으면 아직도 110볼트 쓰는 집 꽤 있었을듯
javaxer jack : 1) 개인적인 의견으론, 대부분의 가전이 프리 볼트가 이미 기본으로 장착된 시대이니 저 커넥터만이라도 공동으로 사용할수 있는 규격이 있었으면 하는 생각이 들 때가 많습니다. 특히 뉴지랜드나 이런 나라 갔을 때 그 커넥터 규격은 진짜 경악스러울 수준이라서요.
2) 전기차 시대에는 220볼트를 선택한게 신의 한 수 일수도 있습니다.(전력량이 두배니 충전량도 최대 두배라는 이야기)
3) 일본의 경우 110볼트로 통일되어 있어 좋겠다는 생각을 할수도 있지만, 여기에 주파수라는 함정이 숨어 있다는 점도 생각해야 합니다.(동부 50Hz 서부 60Hz..., 이건 진짜 미쳤다는 말 밖에는 않나온다)

ᄋ칭송받는자ᄋ : 전기를 만들어내는 장소가 상대적 거리가 멀고 전선 자체에도 고유저항이 있기때문에 저항에 따른 손실을 최소화 하기위해 고압으로 승압하여 각 도시로 보내는것으로 알고있습니다. 게다가 220V 를 쓰면 상대적으로 전류값은 작아지기때문...
