Repairs Universe : @sasquatch446 I would check the connections for issues and damage. However water damage is tricky, as damage to the motherboard can cause similar issues. If you feel confident that the LCD and touch screen are at fault, replacing these can likely resolve the issue. Repairs Universe : @jacknumber13000 No problem. This is an issue with the LCD screen. Sometimes this is caused by water damage, drops, or loose connections. It is normally worth disassembling the device and checking the LCD connection. If the connection appears fine, I would suggest replacing the LCD screen. Repairs Universe : @SaeYoumi This may cause issues down the road, it would depend on the exact resistor that was damaged. We have seen some work for years after, others may die instantly. Purely depends on what was damaged.

This old iPod Touch had a beautiful piece of chrome metal and a 3.5" glass touchscreen. It also had a lot of new features that made Apple customers very happy at the time. We'll dive into some of those in this video.

Originally announced in September of 2008, the iPod Touch 2G (2nd Generation) was an improvement over the original iPod touch 1st Generation. It shipped with iPhone 2.0 OS, which allowed customers to purchase and download apps from iTunes and the Apple App Store. There was an 8GB model for $229, a 16GB model for $299, and a 32GB model for $399. One year later, in September 2009, all iPod Touch 2G models were discontinued in favor of the new iPod touch 3G (3rd Generation) except for the 8GB model, which got a price reduction to $199. Additionally, the iPod touch 2G (2nd Generation) took some design ideas from the iPhone 3G.

Jordan Smith : Great video wasn't expecting this to be covered in 2021 but good to see it. This video persuaded me to dig out my old iPod touch (2nd Gen and 4th Gen). They work fine and I'm even doing a battery test on my 4th gen which has been playing music non stop for the past 38 hours and it has only just hit the 20% battery warning. Completely useable as an mp3 player in 2021! XP
GraalianLife78 Lim : Yes - iPod 2 is still useful for file manager (Air Sharing v2.9.1 and iFiles v1.9.3) from old apps download from iTunes in 2009 until Apple removed App store from iTunes.

C D : I still use mine in the car. I love it. I recently realized that I have some photos stored on it. I was going to email them to myself but there doesn't seem to be any wifi connectivity despite it saying it's connected. Any tips on how to fix that?
