Cobra AMP Irons reviewed and tested by Mark Crossfield PGA professional AskGolfGuru. Mark hits the orange branded offering from Cobra golf and talks about who might enjoy such a golf club. The AMP irons standing for advanced material placement offer a cavity back heel toe weighted iron that delivers launch and distance. Does the AMP iron do what Cobra say it does or is it just all marketing gone mad. Mark answers that question with what he feels it brings to the table.
Charlie Lyons : This is one of the best new clubs of the year. Lofts are one club strong in each iron. Would be taken alot more serious if it wasn't for the orange accents. Very well done by cobra. Solid set.
1010cac : Thought the review was good. I have been a ping guy forever, went from G15 to i20, and ended up jumping to the cobra amps. They are the perfect club for a mid handicap (10 - 12) that wants control from the fairways with ability to land soft on the greens. I had a difficult time with the i20s and the g15 just looks too much like a GI club. These cobras have a great look, and perform how you would expect. Great clubs!
Benjamin Crammond : Hey Mark I have tried this club at my local shop and on the flight tracker im getting a couple more degrees in loft and also getting about an extra 10-15% extra distance as well. It has a good feel.
snowman2bandit : just got mine today, the 7 iron and down flies right off the face with tremendous speed and added distance, while the 8 and up have a dampened and controlled feel. Love these and were a huge improvement from my old set

Trevor Crouch : Hi mark and thanks for all the effort you have put in so far! I have learnt so much from your u tube chanel so far and continue too on a daily basis. I'm a 28 handicapper and have been playing now for about 16 months and playing with an old set of cobra cxi irons which I was very impressed with for there age, after breaking 100 I wanted to treat myself to a new set of irons after watching your review it was down to cobra or nike and after a fitting the cobra irons came out tops and have improved my game 2fold, I've shot a round of 87 since i purchased and came 3rd in a society match that I came in last place last time and gaining confidence, I would like to say a great improvement club, cheers Trev
RelliKtm : I personally love the new styling of Cobra, the AMP & AMP Cells look good and the colour option is a great thing imo, I think my next clubs will either be Cobra or Nike
GolfGod 1738 : High schooler that got these at the start of the year. Great price, superb results. Pretty looking face, but even prettier and truer ball flight. Honestly anyone shooting 105-75 should consider these. With a good strike these are nearly unmatchable by ANY other iron I tested.
Budgybottom : i will be shortly upgrading from my old cobra s3 irons to the cobra amp cell irons. was impressed with the hits i had with them, going to get fit and get longer shafts and possibly stiff shafts but that's where the fitting comes in. looking forward to really dialling these bad boys in.
