Ace Taylor : It's pretty impressive though. I'm looking to buy a watch, but I'm looking for accuracy. I know that automatic watches are far from what I'm looking for, unless I spend big money on them which in most cases wouldn't help anyways, so I'm looking to get a quartz watch. The only thing that annoys the hell out of me is the movement. I had several watches, and noticed that the movement isn't "accurate". It drives me crazy when it doesn't tick on the mark. Does the timex seconds hand land right?
Llanfabon : I agree with the ticking noise - it IS rather loud. Though it only really bothers me when I lay it on a hard surface as I'm trying to sleep at home.

Farnhamification : The aesthetics of the weekenders and expedition scout are really appealing. so many higher end brands would kill to have the dial designers that Timex employs.
JR JR : This would be the perfect budget watch if Timex would add sapphire and up the water resistance to 100m. I would pay $200 for that. The dimensions and design are excellent.
Noize Tank : This watch was my introduction to watches. The top right sub-dial keeps track of the fraction of a second for the chronograph function. I believe it is a 1/20 sec scale and only points to where it's supposed to once you stop the chronograph function with the top pusher. Just thought I'd let you know.
Harold Bullock : I'm not a quartz-battery guy, but this watch does tick one box for me...VERY legible. Thanks for sharing.
Ralph Phillips : Nice review! I am considering adding the cream dialed version to my collection, I just wish the case was stainless steel instead of chrome plated brass.
