We're Eamon and Bec, a Canadian couple who previously lived and traveled full-time in our self converted Sprinter Van!! When the pandemic hit in 2020 we made the difficult decision to abandon our van in Africa and fly home to Canada. Now we're here... living at a cabin in the Canadian wilderness! Things are coming to a close after nearly 1 year of cabin renovations. While we will always be adding to, tweaking and finishing up this DIY home project we are ready to tour you around the entire cabin including lots of before \u0026 after footage!!

We've always envisioned moving into the woods by the lake and building our dream tiny cabin as a home base for us to come back to in between our international van life travels. While we are looking forward to rescuing our abandoned van from Morocco, we are so so grateful to have this space to call home!

Eamon & Bec : I'm so emotional this morning realizing just how far we've come and how much hard work has gone into making this rundown, 70s cabin our dream home. Thank you all for coming on this journey with us. What an adventure ... what's your favourite space?!?!
Stepsof2Foreigners : The cabin looks amazing! Crazy to think that you guys did all of that in less than a year. Excited to see you both on the road again. Lots of love your way. ✌
Nimzm : You can also add a zip line from one deck to another. This place has so much potential and carries such a warm feeling. It’s so beautifully done and y’all can enjoy it with your loved ones for years to come.
Itzhak Meyer : I have watched every single video of your renovation process and truthfully I've been blown away!!!!!! It's just incredible how you went from the ugly old looking cabin to this magnificent beautiful well renovated one all by yourself (of course you got some help but it's so little considering the major enhancements you've done.) Moreover, I was amazed by how you've both equally contributed each in his or her ways throughout this project. You are so talented!! This is also truly inspirational seeing how difficult it's been and you never gave up.
I love you guys so much and I so much wanna come up from Toronto to visit you at your cabin!
Amanda Vokoun : This cabin literally brings out so many emotions. It tells a story and can’t wait to see all the years of memories unfold. I’m so proud of you for creating and making a vision come to reality!

Growing up together as high school sweethearts, we got married at 19 in August of 2016. We have always dreamed of a life of adventure! We started traveling the US any free weekend we had, finding free campgrounds wherever we could, and even converting our truckbed into a home for three weeks to make the trip across the country. After 4 years of college and 2 corporate jobs, we decided this typical lifestyle is not for us. Because of RONA, our jobs let us work remotely full time and so we decided to take the leap. We started this #goingoffgridvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but hope to share helpful tips along the way! We have no plans to slow down anytime soon, and we are incredibly thankful to be able to jump into this lifestyle. :)
Coral Saint Clair : It's looking so good! I love what you've done with the kitchen!
Kim Arnold : Your home is beautiful! You have done a great job figuring things out during your first year, and as time goes by you'll get better and better.
On the dresser behind the wood stove in your mud room........I don't know how the shelves/drawers are or if this would work but have you considered removing the drawers and the pieces between each drawer on the 2 outer sides and put a door on each side turning them into cabinets and opening up the space to stack wood for the stove, and on the middle drawers maybe removing the middle drawer and making the bottom drawer big enough to fill both the bottom and middle space (adding taller sides and a new front piece to fill in the empty space) and use the top drawer to store flat shoes and sneakers and the bottom new big drawer to store bigger shoes and boots? Just a thought, might be too much work for what you need but wanted to throw the idea at you
Sandra Van Kerckhoven : It became so pretty! Been following you since the start and wauw...so cosy
Can't wait to see part 2 ☺
Lots of love, Sandra
Sarah Vandy : obsessed with the kitchen! it’s really come such a long way
Carolyne : Looks fantastic, LOVE the pottery!
Cozy Cabin Tour
If you've ever wanted to peek inside a cabin in the woods, here's your chance!

Kathryn Franch : SO cute and so cozy!! I love the stories and simplicity behind it all
Heather Elliott : I love the stories behind your floor, ceiling & walls! My family has a big cabin, but there are no stories behind the materials like this, just that it was built by many loved ones so there was room to stay together during hunting season.
Darian Abraham : Loveeeee your cabin so much!! So simplistic and unique!! Also Arlo is just so cute!
Noah Gossett : So awesome to know that their are women out there that love this lifestyle. So content and happy. Can't wait to create my own off grid living. More videos!
Gerald Nichols : Love the story behind your cabin! Currently building an off grid cabin in northern Wisconsin. I'm going with barnwood and going to do a stone wall behind my fireplace with fieldstone from my property. Love the video and thanks for sharing! Dont forget to give Arlo a treat
