Tech With KG : Before You Update: I wanted to add that some people have measured peak brightness to be lowered in game mode, although I don’t feel this is a noticeable difference from what I seen, I do think you should be aware of this.

I do however still believe game mode is actually better now overall in real content I’m not seeing a reduction in HDR impact. If you think it feels dim bump up st 2084 to +2 or +3 to get you back to the feeling of 1211 game mode.

Just remember if you update, your game mode and movie mode are adjusted with the update, and to some people you may feel like it’s a downgrade.

Also, I agree. Samsung should just give users options. Add more modes (it's a computer, don't tell me it is limited to 3 modes or so...). Let owners chose. And most of all, don't take away what people bought the TV for. Can't everyone return their S95B as defective, as it does not work as expected / initially bought?
