Savage's Compact AR-10: The MSR10 Hunter Review (4K UHD)
In this episode of TFBTV, James reviews the Savage MSR-10 Hunter. (Full disclosure in the interest of transparency for our viewers: Some time *after* James reviewed this rifle, Savage agreed to sponsor the channel starting August 1. It did not affect the review). The Savage MSR 10 Hunter is a compact AR10 available in .308 Win. and 6.5 Creedmoor. The barrel features 5R rifling, a BLACKHAWK! trigger with Nickel Boron treatment, and a Melonite QPQ finish. Other upgrades include an adjustable gas block and a free-float M-Lok fore-end.

Christopher : I've been fairly impressed with all of Savage's AR's. And I generally find AR's to be very boring and a dime a dozen. They definitely still are a dime a dozen, but the Savage as mentioned really put some thought into things when getting into that game, the MSR Patrol in 5.56 is a fantastic rifle, I first got exposed to them at my local gunshop then saw some videos by James Yeager with them, and say what you will about him and so on but what he had to say on the rifle has been spot on in my experience.
But there's only room for one James in my life and he wears tight shirts. Great review of the MSR-10 Hunter, been looking at AR-10's and want one in .243 Win, and if Savage makes one, that makes my choice real easy.

Xyphonzol : Something important which was a dealbreaker for me with this is that you can't get basic replacement parts for these. Savage will only replace parts if you send your rifle in for service. I just wanted to buy a spare bolt carrier group and they told me no, they don't sell MSR parts, and you must send in your rifle for service only.
Jeremiah P : This is a beautiful looking compact Gen 2, AR-10. I really enjoy my super accurate and reliable DPMS G2 Recon. But I wish it had the Savage M-Lock fore end, adjustable gas block, and cool muzzle brake.
Daniel Burke : I recently bought the MSR 10 in .308 and I love it. It's hard to believe it's an AR 10 it looks and feels like an AR 15.

Clemonsds : 10 cm group? That’s over a one minute of angle group(3.9” to be exact) at 300 yards. That round better be more accurate than that even for a hunting round.
