@ivorpetrie5765 : This song moves me to tears every time I hear it as it covers my life. I come from extreme poverty and joined the military to get out of that loop. I have been in 51 countries been shot at, too close to 3 explosions and zipped my friends into body bags but I came to the US in 1999 to the greatest country in the world bar none and I have a lot to compare it to. It is so sad so many people don't realize we live free in a beautiful great country. I have told my wife I want this played at my funeral because no-one chained me down and I live free and will die free even if I die defending that freedom. Kid Rock and Charlie Daniels are my favorite artists. Fantastic song what more can I say.

madminer247 : I was in my mums car with my 92 year old grandad, He started singing this song gently and I asked him what song it was. He suffers from Dementia and it took him a while to think of the name, he said “Born free that’s it born free!” I typed it up on YouTube for this song to come on and when I played it his face lit up with joy and he looked so happy :)
OK Boomer : This was my mom's favorite song. She would run around singing it at the top of her lungs back in the day in Buffalo NY when I was a kid. She died 16 years ago today. She's free of cancer, anxiety and depression now. Miss you mom.
