@SLone3251 : Management did the place a disservice by taking out the Egyptian attractions and de-theming the place throughout the decades.
@bryannelson6139 : Nice review. It’s a great value and the pyramid is so cool. Way more fun to stay in a pyramid room, but the tower rooms are nice. I totally agree with the other person that said it was a huge mistake to get rid of many Egyptian features. Why? That’s their theme! The only downside is you are on the far end of the strip but the free tram to Excalibur gives you a head start down the strip.
@stereohype1 : When I graduated college waaaay back in 1994, my Mother paid for me a trip for us to Vegas as a gift. We stayed at The Luxor. Since it was a long time ago my memories of our visit there are a bit foggy. However I do remember the buzzing activity of the casino floor. But the most vivid memory of all is the internal elevators that travel at a 45 (ish) degree angle sideways/upwards. That was super cool!

@timmontoya7427 : I walked through here during my stay at Mandalay Bay about a month ago. The theming is cool, but I wish there was more of it. It also feels kinda dark and drab inside, though it is cool that it is a pyramid. Just my first impression when I walked in from the Mandalay place shoppes. Are the pyramid rooms worth staying in, or is the tower that much better?

@boogitybear2283 : I was in Vegas last week and the Titanic Museum in the Luxor is unbelievable! I highly recommend seeing it! The interior of the property is neat as well.
@markcummings3146 : Although I've never stayed there I do really like this hotel and feel it offers great value. The only downsides are the location and the fact it no longer has a poker room

The crown molding around the ceiling does add a positive vibe to the room, as well as the living room furniture which to my understanding is the old furniture from the Bellagio before they did their recent remodel. So that is Nice! Enjoy your week! CAB
@marcroger8367 : Luxor is one of, if not the best budget property. It's clean, and cheap, and connected to other resorts. Mgm and nyny are also right there. If you have mgm rewards, and gamble even a little bit, the Luxor is usually free during most weekdays.
@eurobeatking : I'm usually stay there when I go to Vegas, and am staying there next weekend after San Diego Comic-Con. I got the room for $35+ a night (Tower Room) and will use the F&B credit towards Johnny Rockets which was good last time. Thanks for letting me know about the Fish Tacos being spicy. I just hope they still have the classic Aliens Slot Machine there since it's my favorite game to play.
