@heyfrancis : I believe the reason why you're not hearing FM radio is because, just like other radios, it requires an antenna. In this case the headset serves as an antenna. Plug it first.
@OeStErA1EsCo : We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.

@gugolinyo : The original battery is nearly 3mm thick, but the glue beneath the battery and between the battery and the antenna may give you an additional millimeter and the space available as measured by the markings on the PCB is like a little more than 36 mm by a little more than 16 mm, but maybe an additional mm can be squeezed if placed very carefully. Unfortunately the battery is under the PCB so you can't get an impression how much more space you have available by just looking at it. If you have a thicker battery you need some luck to fit it. I ordered a 35.5x12.5x4 mm LiPol battery which I hope will arrive shortly and will report on the progress in the days to come.
