I finally took on this project after putting it off for a couple years. Mostly because I was having a hard time finding the kind of info to help me do it confidently.
I ordered the motor from a seller on ebay after taking out the old one the week before and seeing what it really looked like. I tried to clean it up and make it work better but it only made a slight improvement so I decided to look for one and found one that looked similar.

If you need this motor search for "Tilt trim motor for Mercury Pump 3 Wire 3 Ram; 430-22012. It was priced at $214.77 in late April 2022.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the motor stopped bleeding down with the new motor as well!
