How To Remove Print Head From R1800, and R2400?


Happy Trails : Thanks for the video! Made it very easy to take this apart and clean up. I think my printhead is gummed up inside though. Seeing a lot of printheads on sale on ebay though, might try one of those.
rz3733 Smith : Is there a follow-up video? He applies the tape and the video ends. On another one of his videos I think he implies that the print head will be sent to him for repair or cleaning. Is there a video that describes the cleaning process once the head is removed. I assume there is soaking process of the print head but protecting the taped portion.
edward bedrosian : many who are watching your video plan to reassemble. a bit reckless to include "now break it and throw that part out" as one of your steps
Wade McLure : How to remove the print head... Take the ink out and throw it away, then take a screw driver and bust open the plastic bits, don't forget to let some of the pieces fall into the printer.
calco88 : Instead of snapping that plastic piece off with a screw driver and potentially damaging the ribbon cable, just pull up on the two tabs on the opposite side of it to remove that piece correctly.
