The new 2021 Cartier Tank Must Extra Large: Which size is right for you?
A look at the new 2021 Cartier Tank Must in the Extra Large size.

Tae Ho Kang : “As date-less as they were in high school” this man is on fire
Anthony Perry : Just bought my XL today! The large was just a little too small and I felt 2,750 was too much for a quartz. Settled on the XL because the 3,700 wasn’t unreasonable for the in-house movement. Thanks for your content.
A C : If Cartier would release an automatic movement/guilloche dial size Large, then that would genuinely be perfect. I hope they do it.
Matt Parker : I always feel like I am in a 80's movie when watching your videos, and I love it.
Also--go for the large. It's more elegant and understated
Jeffrey Oh : I had the same back and forth with the large and XL, but ended up buying the XL (note: for my 6.5" wrist). It definitely pushes my line for "wearability", but ultimately looks acceptably proportionate, even on my wrist. The rounded brancards on the new Must make the watch wear smaller than the Tank Solo predecessor, and really my decision was fairly easy due to the guilloche dial, date function, and mechanical movement on the XL. Great video! (and also love the low-key roasts lol).
The Cult of Cartier - Tank Americaine, Tank Must, Santos-Dumont LE, and Santos
A exercise in the power of brand loyalty and beautiful design. I look at four charming Cartier watches:
1. White gold Tank Americaine 1741
2. Tank Must de Cartier XL CRWSTA0053
3. Limited Edition Santos Dumont Number 19 W2SA0025
4. Medium Santos WSSA0029

Jenni Elle : Me nodding along with everything you said .. :-D fantastic video!
Daily_Dial : Thanks for the vid. Cartier is such a storied brand. Glad to see it getting much deserved coverage and appreciation. As a proud owner of the Tank Française , I have to say, they exude a charm few watches come close to.
Mike C : I’m with you… I bought my Santos medium about 2 months ago and my other watches are begging to be worn. It’s my first Cartier, never really gave them a look before, but it has exceeded all expectations. The fit and finish, comfort on the wrist, and details are just SUPERB. The tech in the bracelet is just icing on the cake.
Noel Davis : I just finished the book The Cartiers (which feels like a real accomplishment since it is 24+ hours on Audible) and am also now deep into the brand. I wish the book had more content about their watches, but the company’s history with royalty and the wealthy is fascinating. Your videos on the Santos have me swooning…
everything will be ok : I just received my ‘grail’ Cartier, the Santos de Cartier Skeleton, in steel. I absolutely love it. But it’s like you say- now the doors are open, I want every Cartier model. There’s just something totally distinct about the brand that separates them from other watches. They’re addictive somehow.
Can A Solar-Powered Cartier Tank Be A Real Tank? | The Cartier SolarBeat Tank Must 2021
For years Must de Cartier watches were more or less ignored by enthusiasts, but a funny thing happened on the way to obscurity – they became collectible. This didn't escape Cartier's notice, and the company decided to celebrate the renewal of interest in them by releasing new Tank Must models in early 2021. There was a slew of new models with the brightly colored dials that were the signature of the original Must de Cartier Tanks, but there was also something unexpected: the Tank SolarBeat.
The heart of the SolarBeat is a new Cartier quartz movement, powered by light, which Cartier says should run for at least 16 years before its rechargeable battery needs to be replaced. The only parts of the dial which let light through to the photovoltaic cell underneath, are the numerals. This is a neat trick – it probably doesn't hurt that the watch only has to update the positions of the hour and minute hands, so energy costs for actually moving something are pretty low.
Aesthetically, it means that you have a dial which is indistinguishable from a traditional Tank Louis Cartier dial, right down to the secret signature.

watchespn : It’s gone full circle. Quartz is considered high tech again.
Jeff : When you're buying a Cartier, you're buying the watch for its design and not the movement. I think a solar power quartz in the Tank is great. You get the gorgeous design and don't need to worry about a service or battery change for 16 years.
jahoydahoy : i'm glad cartier did this, especially considering they are also a fashion house, and have a lot of buyers who are non-watch folk. A solar quartz is such a good next step.
Steve Place : Respect to the brand on this one - great to see tech that's been around make it's way upstream. You'll always get people who hate it because it's quartz in a luxury brand, and they feel a luxury brand needs to be mechanical. But this just isn't the watch for them, and they should move on. Now if only they offered this tech in their XL size...
Sanghoon Lee : Cartier Tank is probably the only iconic watch model right now that can get away with a quartz movement and preserve its reputation. Its size (6mm thick) sort of justifies it.
