Daniel Spoială : I'm in the market for a new high-end mic. This one looks very promising. If you had to choose only one mic, between lct1040, neuman u87ai and Manley Reference, which one would you choose?
Base Bin TV : Sounds super clean.. great demo! Just wondering what your vocal chain actually was and what kind of processing you’re doing after. I’m hearing some slight autotune so just wondering if you’re adding any adding any compression and or EQ. Thanks
Reynaldo Cuevas : I have an LCT 441 Flex and it truly lives up to its name. I’ve used it on acoustic guitars, drums, and vocals; and the multi patterns offer a lot of options. I absolutely love it, but I think the 1040 is a but much for me since I just have my bedroom studio, no separate control room. I was leaning towards the 940 which is the next in line.
T00n Music : this sounds very good, thank you for the very in depth review about this masterpiece
Chris Knowles : Great review. I love Lewitt and this just confirms it!

BTech GMRS-V2 Review & How BTech Botched The Release Of Their Newest GMRS HT Radio

This is my review of the new GMRS-V2 by BTech. I show you what comes in the box, some of my favorite features of BTech's newest GMRS handheld radio, I test the power output of the GMRS V2 and I do some FARS testing. I also tell you the story of how Btech totally botched the launch of this new GMRS walkie talkie.

Tommy J : My stocks are down, crypto is down and there was no NotaRubicon Productions video. I was pouring a quadruple bourbon Manhattan, and I opened my youtube link. I was saved!!!!! My life is full of butterflies and flowers now....... I did keep the drink though.
Danny Clayburg : Another great vid, Randy! I actually picked up this radio on Amazon about 2 weeks ago. I guess I got lucky, because mine was actually configured to use all 22 GMRS channels, and not just channel 8. I've been pretty pleased with it overall for a cheap radio, but I can't say that I like it all that much more than I like my UV-9G. The biggest plus is the dual PTT setup. I've found that to be very handy. Thanks again for the great vids! I've learned a ton from you.!
Bill Rember : Seems to be a GMRS only version of the Boo-Fwang UV-82. If so, then Randy's review was spot on. I have 3 of the UV-82HP's(8 watt version) and have loved them for several years. Even got my wife a red one (so I could find it easily when she drops it in the woods when hiking or hunting) and even she likes it more than the Midland bubble pack radio she was using. The only difference (other than the obvious that the Boo-Fwang is a "ham") between the GMRS V2 that Randy reviewed and my UV-82HP, is that mine came with 2800 mAH batteries. Maybe because I have the HP version instead of the base model. Thanks for another great vid Randy.
Tim Smith : Randy you nailed it again . Thank you for standing your ground with Btech .great job great video as always
Stephen Milldrum : I got my my BTECH about the same day that they announced them. My came pre-programmed with my local NOAA frequency programmed into ALL of the GMRS channels. My radio would not reset until I removed the antenna. After the reset, it's a great little radio. Thanks for the review!

This TRS-80 Color Computer is dead, so let's fix it

#trs-80 #repair #coco

On today's video, we have a repair of a TRS-80 Color Computer 1 -- something never featured before on the basement. The computer has a checkerboard pattern, so let's figure out why!

Paul Stein : Really appreciate the variety on this channel. Seems like some retro channels are Commodore-centric, nothing against that line of computers, but I like hearing about Atari, TRS-80, Apple II, and early hobbyist computers as well. Thank you Adrian.
Aaron K : There's a technique to more safely pull vintage flatflex cables out of their connectors, like on the keyboard you had here. Often, due to age, the spring contacts stick to the fingers on the flatflex, and it can tear off the metal. What you do is get a bit of thin stiff plastic, like the clear stuff from a blister pack product packaging, and cut it to the width of the connector. Then, on the contact finger side, you carefully slide it into the connector, maybe using a bit of deoxit as lube. This separates the spring contacts from the fingers on the flatflex, and you pull the flatflex out along with the plastic shim. No friction on the fingers means lower chance of damage.
kjtroj : Great basic diagnostic info! As for the keyboards, even if that melted keyboard isn't ideal, anything is better than the chiclet keyboard the original model has. Those things were stiff and awful to use, and made me strongly dislike the Coco when it was new.
R vLn : This was fun! The vanilla TRS-80 was my first machine on age of 12. Get well soon!
Brent Boswell : A bit of CoCo trivia: the CoCo is based on the Tandy AgTerminal. A competition was held in the late 1970's amongst colleges to design a computer terminal for US farmers in the Midwest. It was supposed to dial into a central computer and supply the farmers with commodity prices, futures market information, weather forecasts and a mail system. An ultra rare Tandy AgTerminal looks just like a CoCo, with different ports (like no cartridge port), and an internal modem. Tandy won the bid to produce the competition winner (which was heavily based on Motorola 8 bit parts).
