Dr. Light und Dr. Wily waren einst brillante Wissenschaftler im Bereich der Roboterentwicklung, welche stets das gemeinsame Ziel verfolgt hatten, mit der Hilfe von Robotern das Leben der Menschheit zu erleichtern. Eines Tages gelingt den beiden der Durchbruch, und sie können einen Prototyp für die neue Robotergeneration fertigstellen. Als er aktiviert wird, beginnt der Roboter sofort das Labor der beiden Wissenschaftler zu zerstören. Dr. Light glaubt, dass das Problem im Computer-Steuerrungssystem begründet ist, welches Dr. Wily entwickelt hatte, und verlangt, dass Dr. Wily die Pläne für zukünftige Roboterprototypen zerstört. Aus Zorn stiehlt Wily die Pläne und verschwindet spurlos.
Jahre später präsentiert Dr. Light zusammen mit seinen Androiden Rock und Roll auf einer Robotermesse seine neue Robotergeneration mit den Modellen Guts Man, welcher auf Baustellen aushelfen soll, Cut Man, der für Gartenarbeiten verwendet werden soll und Ice Man, welcher in tropischen Gebieten für Abkühlung sorgen soll. Die Messe wird von Dr. Wily und seinem Roboter Proto Man angegriffen, da Dr. Wily alle Roboter von Dr. Light umprogrammieren will, damit diese ihm helfen, die Weltherrschaft an sich zu reißen, was ihm schlussendlich auch gelingt.
Um der Gefahr durch Dr. Wily entgegenzuwirken, lässt sich Rock von Dr. Light zu Mega Man umbauen und beginnt damit, die Welt von Dr. Wily und seinen Robot Mastern zu säubern.

Obwohl Capcom bereits Anfang der 1990er Jahre drei Pilotepisoden zur Serie produzieren ließ, welche erst 2002 unter dem Titel Rockman: Hoshi ni Negai wo (ロックマン 星に願いを; engl Titel: „Mega Man/Megaman: Upon a Star") veröffentlicht wurden, entschied man sich gegen den Anime-Stil und produzierte eine Serie im 1980er-Jahre-Retro-Stil. Die Zielgruppe der Serie waren ursprünglich nur Jungen, nachdem man aber bemerkte, dass viele Mädchen die Serie nur wegen Roll einschalteten, brachte man sie während der zweiten Staffel mehr in das Rampenlicht der Serie. Am Ende der zweiten Staffel wurden auch Figuren aus den Ableger-Spielen der MegaMan-Reihe eingeführt, wie Mega Man X, Vile, Spark Mandril oder Sigma (in der Serie als Cigma geschrieben), da man plante, die Figuren eine größere Rolle in der dritten Staffel spielen zu lassen und bei Erfolg auch eine eigene „Mega Man X"-Zeichentrickserie.
Die Pläne für eine dritte Staffel und den Ableger wurden aber fallen gelassen, da Capcom Probleme mit dem Merchandisepartner Bandai hatte und nicht bereit war, weiterhin die Serie zu finanzieren.
Bisher gab es keine deutsche DVD Veröffentlichung, allerdings gab es in den 1990er Jahren vier Kauf-VHS-Kassetten mit je zwei Folgen der Serie. In den USA ist die komplette Serie auf DVD erschienen.

Pat .K : Leute die ,die das glück hatten noch den richtig krassen scheiss gesehen zu haben wissen wo von ich spreche! Das waren noch echt coole trickserien! Samstag ab 6 uhr. Sat 1, pro 7, Rtl, kabel 1. Die heutige Jugend hat echt was verpasst!
NESRockman1987 : Remembering I watched this when I was a kid in pro 7 in the mid 90's. Even I did not understand a single world I love it because I had a Famicom Nintendo and Megaman 1 is still my favourite NES game and especially love the German intro. Good old memories when things were a way more easier! Unfortunately this masterpiece have never been release in my native language but now I plane to subtitled the whole series and upload in the YouTube.

Mega Man X (SNES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete
A playthrough of Capcom's 1993 Super Nintendo run-and-gun platform game, Mega Man X.
Capcom's seminal 16-bit Mega Man debut kicked off a brand new series with an edge and style that we hadn't yet dared dream of when it first came out. It was unquestionably an evolution of the classic Mega Man as we knew and loved him, but everything felt new and fresh again. The darker story, the edgier, meticulously detailed sprites, the amazing synth rock soundtrack, and the bevy of power upgrades introduced fit together so impossibly well that it was clear it was a classic the day it launched. It also marks the first appearance of Zero and Sigma, and Wily is nowhere to be found!
MMX was universally praised, and somehow seems to be even more popular now than it ever was in the early 90s. Many would argue that the series never again hit the heights that Capcom achieved here the first time out, and I'd be inclined to agree. The X series features some fantastic titles, but I don't think any of them ever quite nailed it as soundly as the first. X4 was close (imo, for what it's worth), but what Inafune and co. crammed into the tiny 12megabit rom in this cart is nothing short of miraculous.
I played this when I was young, but then who didn't that had access to an SNES? This is not the same version I'm most familiar with, though. We rented the SNES cart many times, and I borrowed it from friends, but I didn't get my own copy until the PC version was released, and I played it to death. It's not quite the same, but it's close :) Still, nothing beats the original, and this is still as good a game today as the hype from 23 years ago promised it would be back then. Quite an achievement, I'd say.

Mega Man 1 Playthrough
Mega Man 1: Man, it's great. The scoring system; the baddies in the Robot Master hallways; the pause function. It's a unique Mega Man game.
Mega Man 1 is also hardcore. Aside from the normal Mega Man trickyness, you also have a lack of Energy Tanks, no invincibility to spikes, far looser play control than any other MM game, random energy drops are very rare, oh, and there is no password system. Plus, there is an optional item that if you happen to miss and then go to Dr. Wily's castle without it, you can't beat the game.
In its day, this game set records in graphics, play control, uniqueness, and all-around quality, setting it apart from the other titles around, and in a lot of ways it's set apart from all the other NES MM titles.

Jean And Grey : The Yellow devil in this version is ridiculously hard, I stucked with him for years trying to find the power to defeat him, and one day I found out his transform pattern, I beat the game 3 hours later.
