Panasonic GX1 Hands-on Review
The Panasonic GF series has taken an interesting change of direction ever since the brilliant GF1 was first announced. With the GF2 and GF3 losing admirers of the range thanks to them losing key features. But now the GX1(http://bit.ly/PanaGX1) is here and it's promising to be the successor to the GF1. Is it any good though?

@CHCH179 : watching this on my GX1
@domie07 : I haven't seen this guy in a long time. You were the OG of photography videos, where can I find your content now a days?
@sharkman0616 : Merry Christmas to KAI, LOCK, ALAMBY and the entire digital rev team .
@aurelian1 : There's gotta be a contractual obligation that Alamby has to be in at least one DigitalRev video a month. And look incredibly adorable in the process.
@venuslnd : Lok's cinematographer is improving each episode. Keep up the good work dude. Kai and Lok team up is the best cameras review chanel on you tube.
A BARGAIN camera and a beautiful country.

This week I’m on the Amalfi Coast in Italy doing some street photography (and landscape photography) with my Lumix GX1 - a micro four thirds camera that is a decade old and cost me £50. It's a camera I love, so check out how I got on :)

@chrissnyder4439 : I like MPB, but they have really inflated their prices. Your 50-quid camera is going for almost $200 now.
@RealRaynedance : "Never question what you're drawn to. Just shoot it." is still the best advice for street photography that I've ever heard. Both coming from you and The Photographic Eye. Even if other people don't end up liking it, the point is that it made you think, and it got you into the process, and it got you shooting. That's what matters the most.
@atlantamx3 : James, these are easily some of the best photographs youve ever shared with us, IMO. This was a wonderful set and I would definitely purchase a nice book of these if you were to publish one.
@MrRTMcguire : I enjoy watching the few seconds before each shutter click -- it's fun to see the visual shift that sparks you to capture the picture (such as the arm moving into the sun at the 5:38 mark). I'd appreciate a video where you pull a bunch of moments like this and talk about what was catching your eye. Cool video. Always fun to see budget gear doing its thing.
@banditalley9592 : I don't normally like presets, but I have to say that yours suit the 'holiday in Italy' vibe 100% perfectly! I liked the phone shots from last week, but I think I would use the £52 camera and the other £1300 would pay for a holiday in Italy rather than waste it on an iPhone.
Panasonic Lumix GX1 in 2022. My thoughts, likes and dislikes.
Using the Panasonic Lumix GX1. What's good and what's not.
Filmed on the 31st of January 2022 on a Lumix G80.

@bfs5113 : I have the GX1 too, including the GF1+LVF1 & E-PL1 since they released, and currently looking for a similar size ILC to replace it. On my short list is the GX9 & XE-4 which are larger and the GRIII is a fixed lens camera, but none of them is pressing my hot button.
@TBN1 : It looks nice. Is the build metal? I've tried the Epl -1 and Ep3. But not an early Lumix. These early micro four thirds cameras can be found for amazing prices especially if purchased with a lens, you get the body for under £20.
@johnsalmon8114 : Bought one a couple of months ago. Excellent little carry-around l camera
@opal817 : If you're brave you can try the firmware hack for this which enables 35Mbps 1080i at the expense of breaking in-camera playback (the bitrate is too high for the camera's processor).
@georgiosrigas8094 : Great review. Thank you
