CMMG Resolute 6mm ARC

In this video, we take a quick first look at the newly re-designed Resolute from @CMMG chambered in @hornady 6mm ARC. We top this rig off with an @ArkenOptics SH-4 Gen II and a KGM R65 to keep things quiet. We will revisit this platform in a future video out to more extended distances.

How Did 243 Win. Bury 6mm Rem?

Everyone loves an underdog. But that’s not why the 243 Winchester buried the faster 244 Remington which now races under the banner of 6mm Remington. In this video, I will tell you the crazy story of how the weaker 243 Win. blew away the superior 6mm Rem.

Who is Ron Spomer
For 44 years I’ve had the good fortune to photograph and write about my passion – the outdoor life. Wild creatures and wild places have always stirred me – from the first flushing pheasant that frightened me out of my socks in grandpa’s cornfield to the last whitetail that dismissed me with a wag of its tail. In my attempts to connect with this natural wonder, to become an integral part of our ecosystem and capture a bit of its mystery, I’ve photographed, hiked, hunted, birded, and fished across much of this planet. I've seen the beauty that everyone should see, survived adventures that everyone should experience. I may not have climbed the highest mountains, canoed the wildest rivers, caught the largest fish or shot the biggest bucks, but I’ve tried. Perhaps you have, too. And that’s the essential thing. Being out there, an active participant in our outdoor world.

@jonfranklin4583 : I've taken blacktails with the 243 and with 100 grain bullets it drops them like a bad habit! As usual, thanks for a great history of cartridge development and marketing, always nice to know the history of different cartridges.
@scotthomberg141 : Just found this channel by accident looking for info on the 7mm. Not only do you seem extremely knowledgeable on the subjects you cover, but you have the perfect voice for instructional videos. Hopefully you'll keep making videos.
@arcticminer32 : I have picked up two 6mm rifles in the last 5 years and I have been amazed at the accuracy. In our area I can, actually , find several types of ammo still on the shelves while most everything is scarce. So everything Ron has portrayed has been right on point.
@peterresetz1960 : Back in 1977 the first centerfire rifle I bought was a Ruger 77 (original tang safety) chamber in 6mm Rem. Very accurate, easy to reload, and with 80-90 grain bullets could be shot all day long without beating up my shoulder.
@billgoodmn3317 : Great rundown on the origins and popularity of these wonderful cartridges. Jack O'Connor laid out much the same for me when I was 16 and dreaming of owning a deer rifle and a varmint rifle. Ten years later O'Connor's writings and my lack of funds led me to the decision to go multi-purpose. And O'Connor said go with a 6mm Rem if you plan to reload (also in my plans) because it had a better neck and speed potential than the .243 Win. Got a Rem. 788 in 6mm (stolen long ago) and it was a tack driver, and my current 6mm rifle (a 700 BDL ) is too.

6mm FLOBERT (.22 BB Cap) CUTE but Deadly - TESTED!

Today we test out the smallest and first .22 rimfire rounds ever made. Sometimes called .22 BB Cap, these use just the primer compound to propel them. Many people think "BB" means "ball bearing" but in this case, it means "ball breech". Despite being called "6mm" the projectile actually measures around .23" or 5.8mm.
It's actually rare to see these shot, I have yet to find a video showing anything but people talking about these rounds. It's easy to think these rounds are mere toys but they are still very deadly.

@crusaderofcringe : Does anyone else genuinely miss Danny? I’ve never even met the guy but not having him around really does make me sad. I hope he’s doing well up there ❤️
@gunnutmike : Surprisingly powerful for how they look. The effect on the clay block was the most impressive in my opinion. Thanks for another great video!
@homiedaclown4381 : Imagine a full auto Flobert in like a minigun configuration. It'd need to be hand crank or electrically powered due to the lack of recoil, but just imagine these shooting at 1-3,000 rpm
@erebostd : Those 6mm Floberts were used in „zimmerstutzen“ here in Germany, which translates literally to „indoor guns“. After a good meal people back then wanted to shoot a bit, as a digestive activity, but ordinary 22 short were a bit much, in power and in volume. So they used these 6mm thingies to plink a bit in the house, mostly out of short single loading guns. Different times back then (6:20 ha, you mentioned something similar )
@richardledlightguy : For indoor use, they had wax bullets. They also made wax or gelatin bullets filled with dye or paint which were used for dueling! Forgotten weapons channel has some videos on these guns/bullets.
