@RobertNES816 : From personal experience Gillette peaked with the Mach 3 Turbo. It shaves just as good as the Fusion does, it's easier to clean out and the blades are cheaper and last just as long. Before that the Sensor Excel and Atra Plus also worked just fine. Adding more and more blades is a sales gimmick that worked for cartridge razors until the blade count became ridiculous. They have 6 blade razors now and you just don't need that many.
@victorhopewave : I've been using the Mach 3 for quite a while, I got a Fusion 5 proshield limited edition today. I've had no problems with the Mach 3, but the proshield has an extra blade on the back for styling and making nice and sharp edges. It's pretty much the only reason I got it.
@Stoneysilence : Seemed to me the Fusion 5 didn't cut as much in a single stroke. I noticed it was a much cleaner initial cut on the Mach 3 Turbo while the Fusion 5 required more strokes over an area to get it.
@gordoguerrero2865 : I have the Fusion 5 and was wondering if there was another that would be better, but didn't know if I should have tried something else, and was looking into trying the Mach 3, but you just answered my question. So I'm sticking with my Fusion 5. Thank you for your example and advice, it really did help me.
