In today's DIY video, I show you a simple plastic soldering method as well as how to repair and fix broken plastic using a soldering iron and nail with a knife to weld the plastic together. With this plastic welding method, it is much more effective and durable than repairing with super glue and baking soda and does not require special tools.

@redpost2380 : Excellent tips on how to weld plastics and make useful tips for a soldering iron. One suggestion on the triangle plastic repair: The metal mesh used is a little too small as it should overlap on the borders of the repair piece. Also, consider using the plastic from the offcut (the broken piece) to melt over the mesh to fully cover it. If you don't have stainless steel mesh, use fly screen mesh....or a small piece of NEW steel wool, the one you use to wash dishes. Keep them coming!
