Jörg Demus plays Schumann Allegro, Op.8


@CHILDREN650 : I must say that this is one of Schumann's best works. Such a pity it is not as well recognised as his large pieces like Kreisleriana and Faschingsschwank aus Wien.
@bennyksmusicalworld968 : Been 8 years since I first heard this piece. Always brings me back to my childhood. Just starting to seriously learn it now. Undoubtedly one of his best, along with his Fantasie, Humoreske, Sonatas, Piano Concerto, and Symphonies. Probably his best short, self-standing piece.

Edit: Also as a K-pop stan passing by, I must say 6:07-6:10 sounds very similar to the intro to Oh My Girl's One Step Two Steps (as well as the second half of the chorus). After listening to that song I was like "wait this part really reminds me of a Schumann piece" and this is exactly it!!
@dimbopsah2066 : This is Schumann experimenting with Hummel's F#-minor sonata. Both pieces are beautiful.

@johnvalentine4720 : Not generally regarded as one of Schumann's best works, but I enjoy it nonetheless. Demus gives a good rendition of it.
