6 captains fly the first 747-8 of Air China to Beijing | China pilots eye
This is a special flight without passengers. After Chinese first Boeing 747-8 aircraft was delivered to Air China, 6 captains took the 747-8 airplane back to China, took off from Seattle Everett, and flew straight to Beijing.
@ansonang3132 : I would really feel VERY SAFE to know that flight is being handle by these 6 gentlemen. Even if one is having headache, that plane will not crash
@davidca96 : Its always exciting getting a new work vehicle. I know when I get new trucks at work its a great feeling, im sure thats what it feels like for these pilots. All the new features and everythings spotless. I bet the 747-8 is a hoot to fly, it certainly looks fantastic.
@JSolisHD : That's probably the safest flight they'll ever be in... 6 Captains. Pretty impressive.
@ChrisM541 : 02:26 The airport worker outside on the left showing excellent walking speed.
Enjoyed the video, incredible how aviation is advancing.
@thelightbrigadef4172 : This is awesome! Flying this as the 6 captains is one of most crucial responsible matter.
PURE Boeing 747 POWER!✈ What an Massive Sound! B747-400, B747-8 KLM, Korean Air, Air China, Rossiya
Seen here are purley Boeing 747 aircaft taking off with their powerful eingines! The famous Boeing 747 also nicknamed “the Queen of the Skies” with its iconic hump at the front at the aircraft. It is loved by almost the whole of the aviation community. Seen here is a collection of Boeing 747 aircraft landing or taking off. The “older” Boeing 747-400 version and newer Boeing 747-8 version are included, also cargo versions and passenger Boeing 747-400s converted to cargo aircraft.

The 747-400 has thee engine choices of improved turbofans: the Pratt \u0026 Whitney PW4000, General Electric CF6-80C2 or the Rolls-Royce RB211-524G/H. Its two-crew glass cockpit and was one the first Boeing 747 aircraft without the need for a flight engineer. It typically accommodates 416 passengers in a three-class layout over a 13,940 km (7,285 nmi) range with its 370.000 tones or 875,000 lb Maximum Take Off Weight (MTOW).
Unfortunately the passenger version of the Boeing 747 is becoming more and more rare as is it not as fuel efficient as twin engined aircraft, and costs more in maintenance. Therefore airlines are phasing these wonderful aircraft out of their fleets. The first 747-400 was rolled out on 26 January 1988 and made its maiden flight on 29 april 1988. The Boeing 747-400, with 694 delivered over the course of 20 years from 1989 to 2009, is the best-selling Boeing 747 variant. Its closest competitors were the smaller McDonnell Douglas MD-11 trijet and Airbus A340. It has been superseded by the stretched and improved Boeing 747-8, introduced in October 2011. With its stretched fuselage is by 18 ft (5.6 m) to 250 ft (76.3 m), it was the longest airliner until the 777X-9, first flown in 2020. As of May 2020 137 Boeing 747-8s have been delivered with 16 more to be build, als this giant has not a very bright future ahead. But luckily we still have the footage

@turbofanlover : I mean, who doesn't love the glorious Queen of the Skies.
@johnnyholland8765 : Over the years I built a lot of parts for the 747 while I worked for Boeing and after all that time it still amazed me those aircraft can get off the ground. I forget the weight fully loaded but it is amazing it can fly. Much like the Airbus A380 massive hulking aircraft but so graceful in flight...
@caroledwards3289 : Was only on two flights in a 747. Take off and landing were amazingly smooth. Loved it.
@dmmchugh3714 : BOEING 747 : Queen of the skies.
Power, style, function - a legend !
Love the turn and burn on that first KLM !
✨ ✌☮
@kenbongaards554 : Thanks for posting, very sadden that that the production of the 747 has come to an end.Was very blessed as child at 10yrs old to have flown on one!Even to this day, still boggles my mind on how something so massive can get off the ground. Long live Queen of the skies!!!
Beautiful BOEING 747 TAKEOFF from NEW YORK JFK Airport. Runway 31L. long runway, long run.
afternoon takeoff from Kennedy Airport. F/O is pilot flying. manual flight .
BOEING 747-400 cargo
Runway 31 left with a left turn to avoid flying over the city...Manhattan
@mattholwood : Huge respect for the engineers to the pilots to the ground staff. It's almost inconceivable that humanity has this elegant mode of transport with so much safety.
@isabelcarlin1605 : i never want to take the ability to travel by plane for granted. the technology, the brilliance, the mechanics, the physics, the pilots' training. Guys, never take all of this for granted. It's way more amazing than we take it for. its incredible. how cool we are to live in this time. Thank you to everyone who worked to bring this together from the beginning to the moment I take my seat and soar into the sky.
@Rayburn58 : My Father was a 747 captain for United Airlines out of LAX. He captained the 747 from 1972 until his mandatory retirement at age 60 in 1981. He flew many times to JFK during that span, too bad I don't have a video of him like this one. The avionics at that time were much different. No high tech computer systems like today, mostly guages and the stick shaker, which he said would go off at times and he would ignore it becasue he said it was invalid, not sure I understand but thats what he said. My father climbed the ladder of commercial aviation history like none could today. He trained on an open cockpit biplane. He began his airline career in 1942 at age 21 as 1st officer on a DC-3 with Pennsylvania Central Airlines. Within two years he was DC-3 captain. Pennsylvania Central eventually became Capital Airlines in 1948 where he captained the DC-4, DC-6, L-049 Constellation, and Vickers Viscount (the first turbo-prop airliner). In 1961 Capital Airlines merged with United Airlines where he went on to captain the Boeing 720, the DC-8, the Stretch DC-8, the DC-10, and finally the B-747 which flew from 1972 until his mandatory retirement at age 60 1981. He experienced the full evolution of commercial flight, airline pilot for 39 years and Captain for 37 years. No airline pilot over the last 50 years could experience the revolution and massive change of commercial flight like my father did. He just recently passed away in 2019 at age 97. He was one of the last of the old school breed of pilots.
@joepalooka2145 : Totally awesome. I had the pleasure to fly in a 747 once in my life, from Frankfurt, Germany to Canada. I will never forget the sense of awe that I felt at take-off, as I experienced the enormous power and thrust, unlike any other plane I'd ever been in. What a fabulous airplane in every way.
@dmmchugh3714 : Power, style, function: 747 will always be Queen of the Skies and a true aeronautical masterpiece.
