David Lanz (데이빗 란쯔) - Dream of the Forgotten Child

David Lanz 의 곡들은 약 20년 전 Return to the Heart 를 처음 듣고난 후 점점 알게 되었습니다.
라디오에서 우연히 들었었는데 나중에 고등학생이 되고 난 후 곡명을 알게 되었을 때 너무 기뻤습니다.
야간자율학습 시간에 소니 워크맨을 들으며 친구에게 곡들을 소개하느라 신났던 제 모습이 떠오릅니다.
곡명이자 앨범 타이틀이기도 했는데 유튜브 음악 정책상 재생 자체가 금지되어 아쉽게도 영상으로 남길 수 없네요.

그 앨범에 수록된 곡 중에 유난히 끌리는 곡이 있었는데 바로 Dream of the forgotten child 입니다.
"꿈을 잃어버린 아이들" 정도로 표현하면 되는지 잘 모르겠습니다만 곡 명에서 느껴지듯 어두운 분위기를 띄면서도
빠르기가 느린 편은 아니기에 오히려 약간 역동적이기도 합니다.

"Nightfall" was David Lanz's second album. Purely solo piano, this album contains some of Lanz's classics. The album contains six tracks that range from four to ten minutes in length, giving the record a relaxed, leisurely feeling. The pieces include "Leaves on the Seine," "Courage of the Wind," Water From the Moon," and "Faces of the Forest." "Nightfall" is still available in its original form, and also as a remastered set with "Heartsounds," Lanz's debut recording on Narada.\r
