[Restoration] & Conservation: 120 Year Old Antique Emerson Electric AC Motor. 1/2 HP 1180 RPM.

In this video I place a stronger emphasis on conserving the original patina of this very rare motor.

Dougthepug Sam : Just found your channel. I’m totally new to this stuff with little electrical background. Helping a friend clean his shop, he gave me a vintage floor fan. Sunlight Electrical Co. has the GM at bottom of tag, I did find that makes it after 1933, when GM bought them. It seems to be rare ? 1/8 hp 110 volt. 3 amp. 1140 rpm.
Model. s4523. I can’t find anything on this. The blades/shaft doesn’t wanna turn. Is it worth messing with ? Should I take it to a professional motor rebuilder ?
Any info appreciated.
