radslug : While I think nothing compares to a DSLR.. I think you might be missing the point of this camera and its still significantly less than an SLR. The expensive thing about an SLR is the lens you have to buy for it. With all those lens taken into the equation, it becomes unwieldy to lug around for point and shoot purposes. Your picture taking has to be very deliberate with an SLR. This camera is like the compromise between a standard point/shoot and SLR.
