Everglide Water/Aqua King V3 Review | A Unique Linear Experience
These Everglide Water/Aqua King V3s switches have been making "waves" haaahaaaa... I'm sorry. But let's take a look at them. THIS IS ALL MY OPINION
Disclaimer: I received these switches for an honest review from Prevail Key Co., I am also an affiliate for Prevail. This is simply my opinion and my view on these switches

gamer dude : as key switches continue to be made they will continue to be named more and more like yugioh cards
Olivia Yip : thanks for the timestamps in the description and detailed video! Seems like the factory lube of the stock everglides are really well done, as they have basically zero scratchy or pingy noise to them
skatingmagician : I just ordered milky yellows, but after watching this video. I realized i need to send them back and get the lavenders. They sounded the absolute best out of these 10 in my personal opinion
Hipyo Tech : Everglide Water King sounds like something much more devious than a switch....
Greg Knapp : Great comparison between the Ever Cylde Water King and the Ever Clean Water Glide V3 switches. The precipitation and indentation seems top notch!

sydbird : Hi Steve! I'm curious if Stonehenge has changed their formula since you reviewed this. The block I bought recently is sealed all the way around, unlike the block you have in this video. I'm also encountering the surface of the paper flaking and tearing while trying to lift paint (gently), and masking fluid tearing up the surface as well. Have you used Stonehenge coldpress since this video? Thanks for any input!
Colleen McChesney : Wow I can just sit a watch you paint all day. I learn so much from your techniques and watching how you apply, remove, lift, and blend the watercolor paint on the paper. Thanks for sharing this & giving me some more inspiration for painting.
Rebecca Page : Loved this review--thank you! One of my favorite things about this paper was how easily I could use scraping back effects (damp paper) and xacto "scrapey highlights" on dry. Hands down the best paper I've ever used for those two.
Sherri VN : Love the way you use different shaped brushes and techniques in your watercolor paintings. Grateful for you offering your expertise and time to teach others.
Isa Lawton : Always a joy to watch you create and the learning process is a plus. Thanks for all your tips, demos and for sharing your talents...
Pimp My Filter #9 - Aqua One Aquastyle 980 Trickle Filter
Aqua One Aquastyle 980 Aquarium: Discontinued?
Biohome products: http://www.filterpro.co.uk
Small mesh bags for media: http://geni.us/DtoexHC
The overhead filters in the Aqua One tanks are really good and hold plenty of media for a normally stocked aquarium. This one took 3.3kg of biogravel and still had plenty of room for a 1" (25mm) thick foam over it.
The standard 980 tank is 215 litres so really only requires around 2kg of biohome (any type) to achieve a full cycle - having 3.3kg allows for a moderate to heavy stock. There is really no need to use extra filtration when the trickle filter is set up properly so please don't rule overhead filters out - they simply need to be set up properly.
This series of videos is all about trying to squeeze more efficiency out of internal and external aquarium filters which generally have a limited filtering capacity - If you have a filter you'd like me to feature in a video then please contact me on:
sales@filterpro.co.uk
07772848730 (Richard)
Anyone who sends a filter will have it upgraded and returned to them for free and the only cost you will pay is how much it costs to ship it to me - I'm helping to boost your filter and the resulting videos will hopefully be useful to viewers all over the world so it's a win/win.
*Please do not send any filters without contacting me first as I want to try and cover every type of filter, not 20 of the same make and model*
Due to the high international shipping cost I am currently only taking filters from the UK but I'm hoping that as this series progresses a useful database of knowledge will be built up which will help viewers understand how their filters work, the limitations and the steps you could take to improve filtering capacity and efficiency.
The goal with any filter is to try and achieve FULL CYCLE filtration which is the reduction in ammonia, nitrite AND nitrate - if you look anywhere online you'll see people tell you that the nitrogen cycle in an aquarium ends with the production of nitrate which is removed by regular (often large) water changes.
That is HALF the cycle and is done by AEROBIC bacteria which favors highly oxygenated conditions and is very easy to grow on any surface.
The last part of the cycle (reduction in nitrate) is completed by ANAEROBIC bacteria which favors an environment which is very low or devoid of oxygen. It takes filter media with a very specific internal structure to support both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria to allow for full cycle filtration but a suitably sized, well set up filter, will allow the full cycle to complete which results in more stable water conditions and less water changes (typically 10% every 1-2 weeks). Canister filters will generally offer the best provision for filter media but even internals can be significantly improved to boost water quality and fish health.
The following videos will be useful to anyone interested in learning more about filtration, bacteria and making the conditions for your fish as good as possible:

Julie Dickinson : I absolutely love the over head trickle filters that you can buy now, from small to large sizes. We’ve pretty much replaced all our external canister filters for these. We even made one out of a window box planter, works like a dream. Excellent video , thank you for sharing
Melissa Thompson : Just got a second hand aqua one 850 when I rescued some goldfish and I’m planning to use it for my dojo loaches, it came with some crappy internal filters and the overhead bit is completely empty! After watching this I’ve decided to buy the bits to make this work again :) love your channel so much I check it for every single filter I get
Rune Rafell : Really looking forward to the mega pond filter build !
Karl Hurst : Hi, great videos mate! I'm going to pimp my 980 & 620 but down here in NZ we can only get the mini biohome ultimate, which you intended to use at the start but then went for the gravel...which we don't have available here. Just curious why you decidede to change the media choice and presumably I'll be sweet with tbe ultimate in any case? Was it just about getting more media into the space for more filtration? Cheers
