The most significant difference between the Levi’s 510 and 511 jeans is how they fit. The 510 jeans are a skinny fit while the 511 jeans are a slim fit. This means the 511 slim jeans, although still fitted in comparison to regular jeans, will have a bit of a looser fit than the 510 skinny jeans. The 510 jeans have a skinny leg opening of 13″, and the 511 jeans have a slim leg opening of 14.5″.

I think for most people that are new to menswear or modern jean cut's, slim fit jean's are a good place to start and go from there to see if you need more or less room in the thighs or below the knee and leg opening for bulkier shoes/boots.

I think men will find they will actually start to feel more comfortable in modern cut jean's and look more stylish after finally making the leap from 90s style Jean's to a modern cut. Extra fabric can add weight to the frame and make you appear smaller/shorter while a more tailored fit can make you look taller and leaner and flatter the body.

Modern cut Jean's that fit well can really change the look of an outfit and can be a best first step for men to take when first getting started in menswear.

Levi's 510 Vs 511. Skinny fit vs Slim fit. We will be reviewing and comparing these two popular Jean's and finding out the difference in both cuts starting right now!

The 510 Jean's are a skinny fit that sits at the waist and is the snuggest fit compared to the 511 slim straight fit jeans, that instead sit below the waist. You'll typically find both cuts with a bit of stretch fabric at 99% Cotton and 1% elastane for added mobility.

The 510 skinny Jean's are skinny from the hip and thigh all the way down to the ankle. They taper down to a skinnier 13" leg opening. They hug the body more with a 21.5" upper thigh and a 10.5" rise that sits at the waist. Expect the 510 to hug tighter above the knee and in the thigh area and below the knee in the calf and ankle area.

Now The 511 slim fit straight Jean's are slim from the hip and thigh with a straight fit below the knee instead of a taper, with a bigger 14" leg opening. These are a great alternative to skinny Jean's and also quite popular like the 510. The 511 is more relaxed and give more room above the knee with a 22.5" upper thigh and a 10" rise that sits below the waist. The 511 Jean's will give you more space above the knee and in the thigh area as well as below the knee in the calf and ankle area.

The difference between the Levi 510 and 512 jeans is the 510 jeans are skinny from the hip to the ankle, but the 512 jeans are actually slim cut above the knee, then taper below the knee to skinny at the ankle. This means you can expect the 512 jeans to be a bit looser in the hips and thighs than the 510 jeans.
