Is the Rolex Datejust 2 Worth it in 2022?

The Rolex Datejust was my first luxury timepiece. This one is particular is reference number: 116334. This was back in 2015 when the boutiques were still filled with almost every model Rolex offered before the Stainless Crisis had begun. After trying a lot on, I ended up narrowing it down to the Rolex Datejust ii with the Azzurro Blue Dial and the Black Rolex Submariner. The Azzuro blue dial paired with the fluted white-gold bezel made the Rolex Submariner disappear in my eyes.
The Rolex Datejust was originally unveiled in 1945 for Rolex's 40th anniversary and was the first wristwatch that had an automatically changing date. The iteration shown here (Datejust ii) is powered by the 3136 self-winding, mechanical movement. It's 100 meters water resistant and features Parachrom hairspring and high performance Paraflex shock absorbers, offering greater shocks resistance and durability in extreme conditions compared to the previous models. It also has a 48-hour power reserve.
The Rolex Datejust ii with its blue dial measures 41mm across and 12mm thick. It is constructed with 904L stainless steel which is overkill for what most people will be using these for but Rolex over-engineered like it does with all of its watches.
The bezel is solid white gold and is made in house at Rolex. It is an aesthetic element and a Rolex signature. It's always crafted in solid white, yellow, or rose gold.
The oyster bracelet is very comfortable and really adds to the versatility of this piece. The polished edges and center links featured on the Rolex Datejust ii differ from the all brushed bracelet featured on the Rolex Submariner. The Easylink system provides an additional 5mm worth of adjustment.
My absolute favorite part of this watch is the dial. The Azzuro blue sunburst dial is honestly breathtaking. The range of different shades of blue is unbelievable. The white gold Rolex crown, hands, and roman numerals are applied to the dial and provide a great contrast. Its capped by a durable sapphire crystal glass and the iconic cyclops providing 2.5x magnification for the date.
The Rolex Datejust is an all around watch that goes well with anything. It's available in countless configurations so you can tailor it to your taste and personality. It's the perfect addition to or start of any watch collection.

Diary Test : 16년도 까지는 시계생활하기ㅡ너~~무 좋은 시장이였는데 116500 출시전부터 갑자기 국내에도 프리미엄이 붙기 시작하더니 모든 시계가격이 날아가버렸내요 ㅠㅠ 15년도에 매장에 116520 114060진열 되어있던 시절도 있었고 BLNR은 갈때마가ㅜ있어서 구매하기 수월했었눈데 ㅠㅠ 그립습니다.
