Marselia hirsuta

Marsilea hirsuta is a wonderful carpeting plant suitable for a wide variety of aquarium conditions and styles of aquascapes. Being easy to grow and relatively low maintenance we think it’s a great alternative to some of the more popular carpeting plants out there. Why not try it out for yourselves!

@tombarb2864 : This is a great format to highlight different plants—thanks
@varanidguy : This is a stunning plant!
@laurabustos6560 : I've been on the lookout for this little Marselia for awhile. Haven't found it locally yet.
@TheBobby416 : This was one of my favorite. It covers everything. And it makes a great place for my breading Guppies Fri to hide.
True 175 watts in the light department. And slow growth.
Co2 and it gets better.
@Brantov : Yes, my friend - MarsIlea. Beautiful plante for aquriums. Like.

@laurabustos6560 : Those nursery set ups are awesome! When I was in college (horticulture major) we did poinsettia in hydroponic tables.
So true w the display tanks in shops bringing in spores that trigger a full breakout. I had a hydrocotyle tripartita tissue culture carpet in a moss iwagumi-ish style tank and everything was so clean. No algae, super growth. I introduced a stem pot of H. tripartita 'Japonica' from a LFS and a week later the whole tank was full of cyanobacteria and string algae! Had to use chemicals and disassemble the whole tank! Tissue culture only in the future for this gal!
@jimmykool7777 : Really well explained however there is also risk of tc plant melting if environment is not right which is comparatively less in pot plants
@borsig4379 : i love them!
@andrewr1068 :
@diyas07 : Will tropica send me plants to India if order them
Edit : I know u guys saw this just tell me if u can or cannot

@laurabustos6560 : Anything George Farmer and/ or Tropica is always a wonderfully beautiful learning experience!!✌️
Edit; I wish I had the prob of needing to trim Hygrophila pinnatifada. Unfortunately I can't find it locally and the one I bought online didn't make it after a shipping flub and taking more than a week to finally arrive. I think Hygrophila are some of the coolest plants!! Like walking through a ferny rainforest, underwater. The no.2 Gratiola sp. looks like a little boxwood hedge! I'm sure you guys have probably done something similar, but I'd love to see a Secret Garden style tank!!
@greenthumbaquariums1185 : The plant tips are helpful e.g. christmas moss doesn't attach as strongly isn't something one would normally know without trying.
@beginningofthend : Great video! Any suggestions for a carpeting plant in a low tech nano tank? Saving my co2 budget for a 40 gallon
@dybus87 : 'Cryptocoryne lutea Hobbit' is also small
@richardfrost653 : Can you grow the Hygrophila pinnatifida under a medium light with no Co2?
