@rogueelement9986 : The P2k is definitely the most slept on of my all time favorites.
@TheBulletTrain : I just bought my first private firearm and it is a P2000. I'm left handed and the ambidextrous aspect was a key selling point for me. The feel in your hand is fantastic in my opinion as well. Planning on getting my CCW with it soon but also just learning the firearm world. I know the M16 from my brief time in the army decades ago but most has left my memory lol.
What was that device you were using to load the magazine? I loaded one of mine and thats a pain lol
@thomaseynon6205 : As many comments have stated, this is one of the most underrated handguns on the market. As of this date, it still resides on the California Roster, which in my opinion, is one of the greatest choices available.
Originally I had purchased the Variant 3 .40 p2000 model. Ended up swapping out a few parts (light trigger return spring, 11lb hammer spring, swapped hammer parts with LEM V2 parts), but decided to leave the decocker. So in a sense I have a Variant 1, with a 4lb trigger pull. The decocker is rarely touched, but have the option, if I want to carry with an 8lb trigger pull on the first shot.
Loved the firearm so much, I ended up getting a Variant 2 SK .40. I did however replace the trigger return spring, to benefit having the 4lb trigger pull - to match the p2000 I had purchased previously. These are two firearms I will never part with.
@LarsBars17 : Been seeing the P2000 in all my local gun shops lately. Thanks for doing this video Chris! Glad to have you back!
@K0Y0Ti : What a good choice to come back with. I was born in the early 90s. I was so obsessed with the p2000 and mk23 as a kid. I begged my dad to take me to gun shows just to see if i could hold one. Got the mk23, and looking for a p2000 now. I like sa/da so much more than striker. P2000s are hard to find in person, maybe one day i can land a deal on gunbroker or something.

@DPham1 : As a (soon to be former) resident of the People's Republic of California, I had a choice between the ol reliable G26, M&P Shield, & this weird pistol I never heard of but with quite a price tag & a long ass name to boot: H&K P2000SK V3. Rented the 3 at the range and shot em all.
- G26: Easy to shoot, solid little gun, hated the sights, but man I did not like how chonky the gun fit in my hand
- M&P Shield: Felt too narrow in hand, liked the sights, but HATED the hinged trigger (wtf were they thinking)
- P2000SK: Grip felt like it was custom molded for my hand, solid sights, and while the striker fired pistols were "easier" to shoot my groupings were solid when shooting SA.
It was love at first grip. I knew I had to get the P2000SK, price be damned. Picked it up new at BassPro for $100 off the MSRP bc someone fudged the display price so they had to honor it. And now it sits on my desk and nightstand as my go-to, do-all pistol. It was my first pistol and it made me a DA/SA stan and an HK fan when everyone was telling me to "don't think too much, just get a Glock." Oh well, you don't pick the gun, the gun picks you. :)
Also: it's aesthetic AF & sometimes I just like to admire it
@ronaldbak2092 : I have carried a Glock 43x and a HK VP9SK and decided to pick up a used P2000SK at my local shop yesterday and start using it as my daily carry pistol. Cool looking pistol and looking forward to taking it to the range today. Great review.
@averagegamerdad : Picking up my first HK next week. Heard absolutely nothing but great about them. Thanks for adding to the excitement
@hanskurtmann6781 : 20yr gun collector. I own just about every HK rifle, subgun and handgun since the 80's most passed down to me, come from a gun family ; ). Got 3 P2000sk's in .40, 2 are still NIB. Use a 3rd for a carry gun and use a 9mm barrel and mags for range use.
@ezekielmajor5511 : I'm always like this gun. I doubt it would replace my G43x MOS, but I would love to have one of these in my collection.
The HK P2000: Langdon Trigger Job + Final Thoughts (Part 3)
My last video on the HK P2000...OR IS IT?!?!
Part 1:
Part 2:
Part 3:
@-taz- : One of the exact details they don't share is that they mar your sights with a hammer.
@jorgemedrano7562 : It’s ridiculous how they wouldn’t tell you what was done to your HK. That’s why I keep my Handguns STOCK especially my EDC guns. Thanks for Sharing.
@davidbayne2845 : An eight to ten pound double action trigger pull is desirable to make it easier to shoot but safe enough for concealed carry personal defense or a duty weapon. The heavier the double action trigger pull weight the longer it takes to get the first shot off and the harder it is to group tight to the point of aim. Other ways to lighten the double action trigger include Walther’s Anti Stress feature on the P99 and the H&K LEM trigger on the P2000. In both of these solutions the double action trigger travel is still long for safety reasons.
@alexanderyee736 : Great job making an honest review. I’m a fan of LTT and trust them, but not saying what they’ve done to your HK seems like a rip off. I like to know what changed in case I run into a problem in the future. If you take the gun to another gunsmith he just might replace your ‘custom” parts with factory parts since they’re different. If you knew what was changed, you could inform the gunsmith not to remove those parts. I like their TJIAB, and doing the work yourself is very beneficial to knowing how your pistol works.
@alexh.4068 : I briefly swapped between the original and lighter spring on my P2000 and honestly doesn't make enough of a difference to matter. I'm not sure which spring I ended up leaving in there, but there's a very good possibility I have been using the original now for the past 1 year+. Really doesn't matter.
