@davewilliamson9022 : The video was fine, not saying you don't need Michael
@beerbarnbrewing9160 : Good looking beer! Interesting description of the hops! One of the best parts of being a home brewer is trying new hop combinations and other recipe adjustments. Love watching your videos of you doing it on a commercial scale! Wish we had smellevision!
@user-eb7xk6ky3l : Enjoy your vacation, Michael. Great content, Nate. Love this story, and am so glad Lauren and you were able to experience it
@phalmatticus5093 : I love hearing and experiencing the stories on here even more than reading the backstories of each brew printed on the cans. The passion that goes into what you guys do is incredible!
@BErrickson : One Take Nate killing it!

@ConradoDucommun : I’m from Brazil and my wife gifted me, for my 40th birthday, a 15 day trip to Belgium to visit the breweries/monasteries around the country plus Toer de Geuze. I’ve visited 28 breweries in total (104 beers consumed) and my favorite beer was Arabier on tap from De Dolle. It was unbelievable. Also, I’ve spend more than 1 hour talking to the master brewer Kris Herteleer and his wife Else. Must go place for belgian beer lovers. Congrats to you two on the channel.
@matthewhaas3263 : It’s hard to pick a favorite beer, or even compile a top 10, but one that I’ll always remember is Green Flash Palette Wrecker. A phenomenal west coast IPA
@stuarthubbard9826 : Orval - a wonderfully unique beer. It must have been close to making the top 10...

Visiting the brewery / monastery in 2016 was my lightbulb moment that sent me on my journey into the depths of craft beer and hombrewing.
@aaoa666 : First time trying grape lambic in Brussels, having gone there on ascension weekend when all the "cool" places like Cantillon were closed, and we somehow found our way to a hole in the wall called "Family Brews" and got our hands on the first ever S:t Lamvinus we'd ever had. Having heard how great this grape lambic was we were just in absolute awe of being able to find it.

Safe to say that it lived up to expectations, and my own, and my friends love for lambics have never faded since that day. Still brings a smile to my face, despite it never being as good as that first time whenever I try it.

How is Beer Made?

Whether you like enjoying a beer on a hot weekend afternoon or hate the taste of the alcoholic drink, there's a ton of science that goes into creating it.

Science may be the last thing on your mind while enjoying a cold one, but it's always good to know just how what you're enjoying was made.

Science contributes to the type of beer, the different flavors, and how it is alcoholic – so let's learn the science behind brewing!

@johnspinelli9396 : Isnt it funny how beer is really just grain/bread juice
@noahmccann4438 : I started looking into whether or not it is possible to carbonate something with nitrogen (I would think you’d be nitrogenating it), and it turns out that beer creation is quite a complex topic with many rabbit holes. It didn’t take long before all the forum posts about beer gases, nitro taps, PSI levels etc. made me realize I didn’t actually care to know the answer that much. All this is to say, thank you for the video - and good job on condensing this ridiculously complex topic!
@natachagake4080 : Beautiful! I appreciate this Video because I took a course in brewery science for my masters. We looked at the various processes and operations involved in both industrial and traditional brewing. I hope to work in one of these breweries soon
@youtubeuniversity3638 : I wonder how much this differs from how beer was made back when people were still deciding whether or not to call it beer.
