@grumpywiseguy5992 : I have owned both the Record Power and I just switched over to Vicmark. The Vicmark chucks are much better made, have tighter tolerances, and have a much better and more complete line of jaws than anyone else on the market. They are also easier to maintain, and unbelievable as it may seem, the company even has videos on how to maintain them!!! They do cost more money, but they are a lifetime buy. If you want to go large, then the VM120/150 can do anything else anyone would ever want to do on a non commercial (CNC) woodturning lathe.

@borisfurlan9792 : Dear Tomislav, I did finaly make the jump and followed every advice that Richard Raffan and you have shared other the past year: one of them was to invest in the Vicmarc serie: so I ordered to Marco two Vm100 with 55mm Shark Jaws and Dovetail 100mm and no standard jaws at all. They came all the way up to Mexico! I could'nt be more satisfied. I just begun this great adventure of wood turning and again, Richard and you are my distant but so present Mentors!! So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!!

@ShevillMathers : Wonderful to see a precision item still made in Australia, a rare thing these days, since we moved so much of our manufacturing off-shore. Almost all locally made items are expensive, with the result many of us doing wood turning as a hobby have to buy the cheaper less well made ‘imported’ equivalent. Nice to see that a viewer has gifted you a Made in Australia product, where it will be put to good use on a daily basis, and where it’s quality will let you enjoy using it.
