미국 텍사스 주 덴튼 출신의 19세의 싱어송라이터, Livingston입니다. 어릴 적 그는 왕따로 인해 우울함과 불안증세에 빠진 삶을 살고 있었는데요. 불운한 나날을 보내던 중 12살 때, MIDI 키보드를 산 뒤 왕따로 인한 스트레스를 음악으로 풀기 시작했어요. 유명 뮤지션 Macklemore, Odesza, Jon Bellion부터 작곡가 Hans Zimmer와 John Powell에게까지 음악적 영향을 받은 그는 중독성 강한 멜로디와 오케스트라 비트 위에 자신의 스토리를 써내려갔죠.

어린 시절부터 꾸준히 만들어 온 음악들이, 2019년 미국 레코드 레이블 Elektra Records와의 계약으로 결실을 맺게 됩니다.

Atlas는 EP ["An Unlikely Origin Story] 의 수록곡으로, Livingston의 호소력 짙은 음색과 웅장한 멜로디가 조화를 이루고 있는 곡이에요.

아틀라스는 하늘을 받드는 거물신으로, 제우스에게 대항했다가 패하고 하늘을 짊어지는 벌을 받게 되었다고 하죠. Livingston은 이 아틀라스라는 신을 비유하며 어두운 세상에 굴복하지 말자고. 고개를 들고 극복해나가자는 따뜻한 위로를 건네고 있어요.
