* You may need to format and activate your USB device via the command line. To do so, follow these instructions:

You may have to activate the partition through the command line by using the diskpart utility as mentioned above by another viewer. Simply open up the command prompt, "cmd", "run as administrator and type:"diskpart" and then "list disk" then look for the number corresponding to your disk and enter the following commands:

select disk 0 (choose the number which corresponds to your USB device)
clean
create partition primary
select partition 1
active
assign letter="y"
format fs=ntfs label="MyFlashDrive" quick
