Jerry Briggs : More toner came out then went in. You had a lot of toner left. Why don't you just shake the toner back and forth and you can get more pages?

Harry Stevens : You threw a load of old toner away!! These chips tell you it's empty when you really have hundreds of pages still left in the cartridge.Personally I would have re-used it .

I used to like the Samsung colour lasers, but the cost of toner in the UK is so expensive that cartridges aren't worth buying. I sold my used printer, and bought a replacement with a cashback offer, it worked out cheaper than buying cartridges..  Having said that, they've made some changes to the printer I don't like, and as HP have acquired them I won't buy another.
