A Permanent Magnet That Turns On and Off

In this video I show you how it is possible to have a permanent magnet that turns on and off with the flip of a switch. I show you several ways that a magnetic field can be blocked.

raydunakin : To me, the most amazing thing in this video is the revelation that there is magnetic "paper" that lets you see magnetic fields.
Nuclear : The Action Lab: Now let's test this theory out with my trusty metal sheet

The Metal Sheet: *KILL ME*
Hani's Experiments : Definitely gonna try this, this is soo cool
Furtnot : I love how he is casually using a 1944 steel penny in his tests. I wonder if he knows how much it is worth
Last Chance : I appreciate how excited he is about all his experiments. Wish I had more teachers like him.

Copper's Surprising Reaction to Strong Magnets | Force Field Motion Dampening

In this video I experiment with Lenz's Law And Faraday's Law of Induction to generate electricity and magnetic force fields in copper. Check out my sponsor Brilliant for a really fun way to learn! https://www.Brilliant.org/NightHawk

Milan Karakas : At 1:37, you said "...there is no attraction, nor repulsion...". Wrong. There is attraction or repulsion, depending whether magnet goes toward copper clad or away. Copper is good conductor and magnet generates eddy current, which in turn produce exactly 'mirrored' magnetic field when magnet approaches the surface of the copper. When magnet going away from the copper, you can feel resistance because then magnetic field 'flip'. Still somewhat 'mirrored', but as a 'negative', or in reverse. When magnet going toward copper, north produces eddy current that produces north pole in copper. When you pull magnet from the surface, north pole produces south pole - which attract or as you said - make a feeling of the resistance. When stationary, no eddy current.
Max Box : So nice to have the video immediately start with the good stuff.
GhostOfJulesVerne : I just tried this at home and it feels like I'm dragging the magnet through molasses. Super cool!
Felix : Both the effect you demonstrated and the fact that you recorded the ending with your bird are awesome!
Drakinite : Everything in this video was amazing, but the part that surprised me the most was the bit where you rotated that cube from like 2 feet away. That's the farthest distance I've ever seen tangible magnetic effects (aside from compasses), considering that usually, magnets only overcome friction when they're a few inches apart.

How to use a pocket magnet to test gold

We are showing you the porper way to test your gold to see if it is real by using our magnets to test the gold, the links in the video will take you to the website to purchase if needed.

so you wanna know if it's gold or not pretty simple stuff you can buy acid testers test kits electronics everything you can imagine that spend a lot of money or you can do what I did I use a magnet these items were purchased in jewelry stores I own they thought they were godl I asked him the question did you test it with the magnet? answer was no these are lil earth magnets we have a set of 4 you can see that it will pick up metal it will find it as you can see here it's moving this now even though it's partially goal the thing is is you don't wanna buy things that are partially gold this one actually is gold in gold coins or silver coins see these great arent they that doesn't happen was silver coins they almost bought $500 of these too
AdamMargie4ever : great video and straight to the point NO BS!!! Hopefully you fired those idiots!
George .george : So I'm guessing the magnet trick wouldn't work unless the base metal was magnetic... which really means you can't be totally sure that your gold is real with a magnet, but you can sort out the crappy counterfeits.
Mohammed Kashif : 10k gold is also attracted to magnet depends what they they are mixing it with. Acid test is the full proof test. Magnet test is a very gernalized.
Silver Slingblade : Isnt silver dimagnetic? Or bimagnetic? a magnet on a sloping silver dollar will have a slight sliding grip as the magnet falls. videos here on youtube demonstrate. Fake coins will either be totally magnetic, or the magnet will drop like it's on glass without any grip at all.
oldpalmcity : I have 14K gold Turkish made chain that is little bit magnetic, but it passes acid tests just fine.
