Man-eater : "The light may damage it (opc ". I think the light you mentioned means electricity bulb light? Is it ok to expose opc in daylight?

A Brief(ish) History Of Shock Protection And Hot Takes On The NATO Strap
Hello one and all, and welcome to another episode of Hey, HODINKEE! – that freewheeling forum for the horologically curious, where you ask questions and we look up the answers ahead of time in order to preserve the illusion of spontaneity.
This week, as usual, we have questions that run the gamut from the granular to the general. One reader wants to know if there is a generally accepted "right" way to wear a NATO strap. Another, motivated by the spirit of generosity, wants to know what we would recommend as a gift to their boss, with a budget not to exceed $5,000. And someone's written in to ask what kinds of shock protection there are, which gets us into the surprisingly long history of anti-shock devices in watches.

Tom Torres : Excellent suggestions ,Jack (Grand Seiko & Tudor). May I suggest Nomos be added to the list for that price range.
Ryan : My favorite episode ever. Jack is so smooth with his words.
John R : Love Jack’s sense of humor. Enjoy these videos for the entertainment as much as the education he provides on so many different topics. One thing I think is funny. Jack gets annoyed by a nato strap that’s a little too long, but wears that Rolex with about 3 links too many. Darn near swivels around his wrist and slides up his arm. Keep up the good work Jack!
Brian B. : Whenever someone asks Jack, "What watch should I buy......."
The answer pretty much always starts with the word 'Grand', and ends with word 'Seiko'.
wisconsinhippy : With all the watches in the military, how is it that shooting guns doesn’t just instantly destroy movements?
