Inside Dee & Tommy Hilfiger's Mediterranean-Style Home | Open Door | Architectural Digest
Today AD is welcomed to Palm Beach, Florida by Dee \u0026 Tommy Hilfiger for a tour of their lakefront, Mediterranean-style home. A spacious 5,000 square feet, the property is resplendent with verdant gardens and white columns soaring towards arched ceilings. Built in 2006, the Hilfigers were immediately drawn to the indoor-outdoor architecture of their new home, which, modeled after many of Palm Beach’s older estates, features an interior courtyard. The couple turned to AD100 designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard to achieve their goal of infusing that open and bright feel throughout the interior, as well. "The house has a wonderful soul." says Bullard. "We just had to take away the formality and make it feel a bit younger, sexier, looser.”\r

I have a Spanish style home on Maui, in the country, built for a Portuguese family. The Portuguese came here 100 years ago. They were cowboys and plantation managers, mostly. Was already getting ready to enclose the arches in the front, for that delicious courtyard feel. Now I have even more inspiration.

fifiserafino1 : The black dress is so versatile, you could wear it anywhere. You can easily raise the under arms by shortening the straps from the back
Islay Gould : That black dress is such a classic and looks so gorgeous on you. To get the most out of my dresses I often layer them with a t-shirt & blazer or jumper over top so the dress wears as a skirt, can do the same by layering a short/long sleeve underneath. The fit through the skirt of it is too gorgeous to just keep it for holiday or events! Worth getting the straps up for sure xx
Hey Katinka : Love all the pieces, especially the black dress! I‘d definitely recommend getting the straps shortened on the dress and maybe even the white knit top as well. It‘s always a bit annoying taking things to a tailor but I haven‘t regretted it once and always find myself wearing the pieces so much more because I feel way more comfortable in them.
