LA SIESTA Colibri - Double Travel Hammock made of parachute silk
Thanks to an integrated suspension system, it is quickly and easily hung up or taken down. Despite being lightweight, the fabric is extremely strong and dries quickly. In addition, the COLIBRI travel hammock can double as a practical picnic blanket in just a few easy steps.
Jennifer Bauman : I just bought a newer version of La Siesta-Colibri Double Travel Hammock and I see a major improvement from the design in this video. The manufacturer now includes what I would describe as "tree-friendly" straps. They're much wider than the ropes featured in this video, so they put less stress on the trunk and bark of the tree. The suspension system has been updated as well with a smaller, lighter safety hook. The video doesn't show how the user gets the hammock back into the travel bag. I assume he would stuff it in like I did and compress it to leave enough room for the straps. I had to try a couple times before I could get everything to fit, but it was worth the effort because the compact size and light weight are two of the features which make this a great travel/camping hammock.
