Eunho Kang : 전 미국에 몇년째 살고 있는데 처음에 저 신발 문화 적응이 좀 어려웠고, 식당 문제는 딱히 식사 후에 오래 있을 경우가 없어서 저런건 몰랐네요. 문화 차이 관련해서 가끔 여행객들 볼 때 좀 위태위태 해보이는 경우들이 많았어요. 이런 문화차이에 대한 얘기들은 좀더 널리널리 알려졌으면 좋겠네요. 여행 가이드 책들도 볼거리나 먹을거리만 소개할게 아니라 이런 면에 대해서도 좀 많이 소개를 했으면 좋겠단 생각이 듭니다

KpopGaming Studios : I started part-time work at a local thrift store close to where I live about... almost 5 months ago. I'm not naming the store, but I work as a clothes hanger and I would like the answer some of the questions from this video here!
Q1 - I have seen this a lot, but especially in new hires. We get racks of clothes that we need to put out, and each of the clothes hangers (the workers, not the objects) get one rack each. So say there's 3 workers at the moment out on the floor, that means there should also be 3 racks being worked on (if there are racks ready, as sometimes it takes a bit of time for the pricers as they have a lot to do as well). However, we should not just prioritize those racks, as when we bring some clothes to the main rack they need to be on (for example, bringing short sleeves shirts to the main short sleeved rack out on the floor for customers to look at), there will be things like some clothes on the floor, some over the rack, hangers sticking up, or even empty hangers. While we are putting clothes out, we should also be putting fallen or misplaced clothes back, NOT just leave them there and go back to the rack of clothes that need to be put out. If there are no racks ready, we should not be idling around, waiting for a rack, and instead should be making sure that everything is neat, like clothing off the floor and hangers not all a mess on the main racks. This also goes for the shoes, hats, scarves, belts, purses, and bedding/linen.
Q2 - This one I understand because I was one of those people when I first started, but I learned from it and now I rarely make the same mistakes that I used to when I started out. The thing with people making consistent mistakes is that, either they genuinely don't know any better because it's their first time, or they just don't care enough to fix it no matter how long or short they have been doing it for. At my job, there's certain sections for things that aren't regularly sized (like areas for plus sized clothes, kid's clothes, baby clothes, etc.) Consistently, plus sized and kid's sized clothes have been found in the regular clothes, despite being clearly marked on the price ticket (Q (Queen) and K (King) for plus sized, G (Girl) and B (Boy) for kids sized, S (short) and C (Capris) for other styles of pants, etc.). Either someone doesn't know any better, or they don't care enough to properly look at what's written on the ticket for that article of clothing, and it can be extremely frustrating for not just the clothes hangers, but also the pricers and the boss.
Q3 - My store has days where we will 'rag out' a certain ticket color, and a lot of clothes with that ticket color on them will be put into a large wheeled container to be sent to the same store in a different location. Each worker has a section to rag out (say I have dresses and my coworker have tank tops). We need to write down if we ragged out, and what we ragged out, and sometimes we need to rag out a different section if either 1) the person who does that section isn't there or 2) it gets too tight to fit any clothes or other items in. Like today, I had to rag out both men's and women's shoes because, as I was putting more out, there wasn't enough room. I wrote down what I ragged out on a piece of paper and put it in a folder like my boss said to. However, sometimes people either don't rag, rag too much, or don't write down what they ragged, despite being told several times. I think this question coincides with Q2, with making consistent mistakes, as a lot of excuses are along the lines of 'I forgot'.
Q4 - This one is kind of hard because, as a clothes hanger, basically I am busy alone. We can't really go to help someone with their rack of clothes because there's either 1) another rack waiting, 2) clothes/hangers on main racks that need to be fixed, or 3) other things that need to go out like shoes/scarves/hats/belts/bedding/linen/purses. Sometimes, on an extremely busy day like Sale Day, all three at once. I guess, when it comes to this question, it depends on the job itself.
Q5 - Again this one is a little hard for me personally because I try not to get into that kind of stuff, and I usually am too busy to really think about that. The most I do is say 'good morning/afternoon', 'is there anything you need me to do', and just small chitchat whenever I have time (which is rare because I work about 3.75 hours of my 4 hour part-time, with a 15 minute break for a small snack/rest). I don't go to my boss with compliments and affection to try to get on her good side or get on any favorites list, to be honest I think my boss would hate me if I tried doing that! Even my boss' supervisor (who I would say I am on friendly terms with, gave me a pretty nice nickname, and who I went to in order to fill out the application to get the job) I don't try to be over-friendly to get on any favorites list. I find people who outright try to become the boss' favorite are irritating and kind of full of themselves.
Q6 - Again, because I tend to work on my own stuff and can't really help any of my coworkers, I either don't pay attention enough and miss it or just ignore it. I don't actually have anything to say about this question, I don't think I've ever had it happen to me since starting the job.
Q7 - I think there's only one person like this at my job, and even though they try to make an effort, it's actually kind of frustrating because they complain the whole time. "I don't get this", "I'm so confused", "It feels like a foreign thing to me", "I'm not good in this area", "I don't think I'll ever understand this". They're being trained, and yet the trainer is actually doing most of the work that the one being trained should be doing, because the one being trained keeps saying he 'doesn't comprehend some of the clothes we put out and why they have to go on certain main racks' while just following the one training them around.
Q8 - Do I have some more? Not at the moment, but I will edit this part if I think of something.

Jay Y : 서버들이 말하는 방법을 익혔으면 한다. 다이닝의 즐거움중에 하나가 설명을 듣는것인데, 대부분의 업장을 보면 매사에 "준비해드렸다" 이말밖에 반복을 안한다. 같은 표현을 반복하면 듣는입장에서는 지루하고 단조롭고 때로는 피로한법. 준비했다 조리했다 만들어봤다 올려드렸다 등등 우리말에 얼마나 다채롭고 풍부한 표현법이 많은데 참 갈때마다 답답하고 귀에 거슬릴때가 많다. 그리고 제일 거슬리는거.."도와드리겠다" 이거.."준비 도와드린다"는 말을 듣고 속으로 한숨만 나오더라. 나는 돈을 내고 서빙을 누리러 온 사람인데 대체 누가 누구를 돕는다는건지?
